About the Center for Business & Innovation (CB&I)

The Center for Business & Innovation houses over a dozen resources to help small businesses grow and succeed in Washington State.

We offer a group of programs that provide free and low-cost resources to help you start and grow a business, including advising, business training, financial training, funding and more. In collaboration with the Thurston Economic Development Council and South Puget Sound Community College, CB&I provides a variety of resources through a collaborative system unlike any other in the state.

The Center for Business & Innovation (CB&I) is committed to the prosperity of small businesses in our community! We provide a variety of services and resources for entrepreneurs, business owners, and managers to help them succeed.

CB&I operates in South Puget Sound Community College’s Lacey Campus. The Thurston Economic Development Council, Washington Procurement Technical Assistance Center, Washington Center for Women in Business, and the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) all operate in the same space, creating a wrap-around hub for new business owners and entrepreneurs across Washington State.

Together we provide critical knowledge, management tools, solutions to problems and making key connections to help you fast-track accomplishing your goals.
